Our students had their group picture appear in: October County Lines (We are on page 3.)
Kenton Larson visted our class in October and gave a very interactive presentation from the Freeborn/Mower County Electrical Cooperative. With his presentation figures, Kenton showed students what happens when power lines make cars, kites, ladders, and farm equipment dangerous. We had lots of electrical arcs and even an electrically fried hot dog to show how high voltage electricity can damage tissue and muscle.
Kenton then showed the students his utility truck and even picked a leaf off of the highest branch in the tree by Lakeview.
Thanks to Kenton for taking time before he retired to teach our student how to be safe! His wife Deb, who recently retired from teaching 4th grade at Sibley recorded one of Kenton’s last presentations.
